Read and Write: Cultural Photography:
photographer Adam Marelli talks about how he came up with the idea of cultural photography because it was hard to explain what kind of pictures he takes. He didn’t feel like he fit into regular types like documentary or portrait photography. His work was different, and he needed a better way to describe it.
Instead of just taking pictures from the outside, Marelli spends years learning about the people and places he photographs. He works alongside craftsmen and studies things like Zen Buddhism to really understand their world. Then, he takes photos from his own point of view, shaped by that experience.
In the end, he calls his style cultural photography—a way of showing the deeper meaning behind what people do and believe. It’s for photographers who care more about connection and understanding than just taking a quick shot.

Business of Photography:
How I would market my photography business is by making posters and putting them around busy areas and also make social media posts and tell my customers to recommend me to other people and when I make enough money, I would like to buy a Billboard. How much I would charge would be $450 A hour for a normal contract for 5 hours and $150 every extra hour. And for the premium pack it would be for the whole day $1,700 every 5 hours extra hour is $400. Stuff that I would put in my contract is that you have to put half the money at the start of the session and the rest at the pickup of the pictures. Also, there are no refunds once the pictures are taken. And other stuff. And I’ll be located in Fontana California but I’m willing to go to Los Angels.

FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHER ESSAY:
One of my favorite photographers is Ansel Adams because he takes a lot of pictures of landscape, and I take a lot of pictures of landscape. He was born in San Francisco, California. Also, Sierra Club was vital to Adams’s early success as a photographer. His first published photographs and writings appeared in the club’s 1922 Bulletin, and he had his first one-man exhibition in 1928 at the club’s San Francisco headquarters. Though wilderness and the environment were his grand passions, photography was his calling, his metier, his raison d’etre. Adams never took a creative photograph specifically for environmental purposes. Adams was often criticized for failing to include humans or evidence of “humanity” in his landscape photographs. Reviewers frequently characterize Adams as a photographer of an idealized wilderness that no longer exists.
